Skipper
Skipper is the captain of his ship in Power Master 1: A Strange Journey. His name comes from the term skipper, meaning one who commands a ship.
Biography
Skipper's true name is Jake, he only takes on the title of Skipper after gaining control of his family's ship[1]. Jake only wants to sail with his family as long as possible, so when approached by Exitous to make a wish, Jake wished for an endless ocean and for his family to stay on the boat with him[2]. The wording of this wish caused Oora Ocean to flood into the Town of Oora, which Jake was unaware of. Jake and his family are also not from the Land of Moneo[3].
Jake is the youngest of two brothers, his older brother is named Chase. His father, Thomas, is the true captain of the ship, and Clarissa is Jake's mother. Jake tries to talk like a pirate, but immediately gives it up after his first line in Power Master: A Strange Journey MV, though Hamilton will try to play along. He does not like to be talked down to as a kid, and gets flustered by Jennifer's appearance.

In Power Master 1: A Strange Journey, Skipper and his crewmembers find the player washed up and they help them aboard. When the player asks for the Gem, a member of Skipper's crew states it is their most prized possession and will not give it up. Angry at the player, Skipper commands his crew to attack. Skipper has no special traits or skills. When challenging Skipper, he gives up after a single turn has passed, apologizes for his actions, and claims he was unaware of the flooding in Oora.

In Power Master: A Strange Journey MV, Skipper and his crew are docked at an island and greet the player when they arrive on his ship. Depending on the way the conversation goes, the player can avoid fighting Skipper and convince him to return the Town of Oora to normal. Unlike last time, Skipper does not have the Oora Gem, Exitous instead gave Skipper one wish, which Skipper is able to reverse. The player could also end up being thrown into the ship's brig, which the player can only escape by warping to another town; the game is essentially softlocked if the player cannot escape. If the player returns to the ship after escaping, they will have to fight Skipper's Crewmembers before fighting Skipper, unless they have a spare Door Key they can use to open Skipper's quarters immediately.
In battle, Skipper is considerably weaker than previously, though he has higher Health. The battle will not end after one turn like it did before.
