In Power Master 1: A Strange Journey, a Book of Burn is an equipable weapon. According to its description, it is created by fusing a Book of Fire and a Book of Sleep together. Book of Burn deals both Fire- and Dark-based damage and increases the wielder's Attack by 10. It makes the wielder strong against Ice-, Fire-, Dark-, and Physical-based moves, but weak to Water-, Stone-, Wind-, Light-, and Weapon-based ones. It also has a 100% chance of inflicting a Burned status ailment on the enemy, unless the enemy is immune to the ailment.

Books of Burn return in Power Master: A Strange Journey MV, this time as a standard item. It can only be used in the field, and will teach a member the Burn skill when used. Firebirds have a one-in-five chance of dropping a Book of Burn.
