In Power Master 1: A Strange Journey, Thunder Shields are rare shields, and can only be bought at the Blacksmith in the Town of Yora. According to its description, it is created by fusing a Book of Lightning with a shield. When equipped, it increases the wielder's Defense by 50 and the wielder will be immune to the Paralyzed status. Additionally, the wielder will become strong to Stone-, Ice-, and Lightning-based attacks.

Thunder Shields return in Power Master: A Strange Journey MV, under the name Plasma Shield. When equipped, it multiplies the wielder's Defense and Resistance by 1.35 and protects them from being Paralyzed. It will also make the wielder strong against Fire- and Lightning-based attacks, with an immunity to Ice-based attacks, but will make them weak to Air-based attacks.

As of demo 0.3.0, Plasma Shields are unobtainable.
