Hunter is a major character in the Power Master series, first appearing in Power Master 1: A Strange Journey.

Biography

Hunter was created by the Gems a month before the events of Power Master 1: A Strange Journey in order to combat Exitilus's powers. Due to having the same powers as Exitilus, Hunter is regarded as rival to him. Though he is sometimes called Exitilus's "grandson," the two share no relation; the connection is due to the amount of power both Hunter and Exitilus have.

Unlike Exitilus, Hunter is a kind-hearted character who wants to fulfill his reason for creation. Physically, in Power Master 1: A Strange Journey, he has the appearance of a young man in his late teens, but is in actuality only a month old.

The first time the player meets Hunter in Power Master 1: A Strange Journey is near the bottom of Eora Dungeon. There, he tells the player to meet him in the Town of Kora after getting the six Jewels from the special dragons. If the player does not talk to Hunter, a gate in Kora Fortress will not open.

Once the player makes it to Kora, Hunter will challenge the player in Kora Fortress and will reveal more about his role after the battle. Hunter reveals that he was the one who was supposed to defeat Exitilus, but was easily captured. To fix this problem, the Gems sent someone else in his place to find the new hero. After this conversation, he'll claim he is still learning his powers, but will try to join the fight when he can. He ultimately shows up after the player has already defeated Exitilus.

After the events of the game, Hunter is named the new Guardian of Kora.

Hunter also appears as an enemy, along with the Mysterious Man and Exitilus, in the Fairy Spring using the same stats.

When under the effects of Doppel's Dimension, Hunter turns into Merlina after his battle.
