Andrew Perkins is a major character in the Power Master series, first appearing in a playable role in Power Master: A Strange Journey MV. Unlike other characters in Power Master: A Strange Journey MV, Andrew and Andrea were not revealed prior to their game demo release.
Biography
Andrew Perkins is a man with green eyes and orange hair. He was born on October 20, 1990 in the Town Fora, Moneo[1] along with his twin sister, Andrea. His parents are Bob and Bonnie Perkins. He is one of Stephan's friends in Fora, being with Stephan as he grew up. Andrew is very knowledgeable about the world and is friendly to everyone, having traveled a lot and learned many things, even being quick to pick up things that may have been difficult to learn, claiming it was as if he already knew it[2].
In Power Master: A Strange Journey MV, Andrew is 17 years old. Andrew appears to know about Stephan's parents[3]. If the player starts as Helen in Power Master: A Strange Journey MV, Andrew has additional lines of dialogue that imply he may have a thing for her[4] and gets a little jealous when Helen refers to the supposedly male warrior as a strong person[5].
Power Master 1R Story
In the Power Master 1R Story, Andrew fills a similar role as he does in Power Master: A Strange Journey MV. He is Stephan's long-time friend, being there near the start of the story. He frequently gives Stephan advice and is shown to be very skilled. He later develops a relationship with Kyra after saving her in Chapter 7: Wandering Sword and Chapter 17: Little Girl, Big Tree, and seems to know a secret about her past. In Chapter 22: Zone of Trials, Andrew fails to escape Doppel's Dimension, being held back by his trial, but manages to get the Zora Gem to Stephan before the dimension's door closes and disappears.
At the end of the story, a grave is placed in memory of Andrew in the field next to Zora, reading "In memory of Andrew: A great leader and an even better friend." Andrew's sister, Andrea, is not present in this story.
Power Master: A Strange Journey MV

Andrew is first found in the Town of Fora, introduced in the 0.2.0 update of Power Master: A Strange Journey MV. Starting from the third demo, he can be recruited before collecting the Fora Gem if the hero is either Stephan or Helen. During the conversation following Silver Knight's defeat and returning to the Guardian of Fora, if the hero is either Stephan or Helen, Andrew will come in and say the Silver Knight gave him a letter to find the Warrior of Bora. After this, both of the twins can be recruited together.
He and Andrea so far have two quests: The Friend's Challenge and The Friend's Rematch.
Character information
Andrew and Andrea share the class Knowledgeable Friend, which gives them average stats all around, though with Agility being their best stat. They have their own set of armor, but are the only characters to not have a personal weapon. Andrew can equip swords, shields, axes, and bows.

Andrew is fought in two instances, both during his quests. In the first quest, The Friend's Challenge, which takes place in the Town of Fora, Andrew challenges the hero to a duel to test their strength. Andrew has decent stats all around, with his best being his Offense and Agility. He attacks with a sword and knows Strong Attack. He has no strengths against any element, but has a weakness to Weapon Breaker skills. Defeating Andrew will complete the quest, and he will gift the hero their personal weapon as a reward. He shares statistics with Andrea, who can fight in his place if the hero decides to talk to her instead.
In the second quest, The Friend's Rematch, which takes place in the Town of Bora, Andrew and Andrea team up. Andrew has significant buffs in all of his stats, especially his Agility and Luck. He attacks with a Pyro Sword and knows Strong Attack, Inferno, and Petrify. He is strong against air- and ice-based attacks and is immune to being Frozen. However, he is weak to fire-, lightning-, stone-, and Weapon Breaker-based attacks. Defeating both Andrew and Andrea will complete the quest.
Files for a Doppel Andrew and Dark Andrew exist, but cannot be encountered properly yet.
Update history
- 0.2.0 demo - Andrew is added to the game.
- 0.3.0 demo - Andrew can now be recruited before fighting the Silver Knight if the hero is Stephan or Helen.
- Final demo - Andrew's portrait, player battler, and enemy battler graphics have changed and some statistics have been adjusted.
