==Plot==
The story takes place a thousand years after the defeat of the "Fallen [[Guardians|Guardian]]," [[Exitilus]], following the [[Stephan|ancestor]] of the old heroes.<ref>"...Today is the thousandth year anniversary of when your ancestors, the Legendary Heroes of [[Land of Moneo|Moneo]], defeated the wizard Exitilus." - [[Guardian of Fora]], ''Power Master 1''</ref> After defeating the [[Silver Knight]] and returning to the [[Town of Fora]], the player will receive a note, warning them of the returning danger and tells them to find the [[Jennifer|Warrior]] in the [[Town of Bora]]. After defeating [[Hypnock]], it is revealed by the [[Mysterious Man]] that Exitilus has returned in someway.<ref>"The evil is [[Exitilus]]. [...]somehow he got out and is once again after the [[Gems]]. I'm still investigating how..." - The [[Mysterious Man]], Power Master 1: A Strange Journey</ref> It is up to the descendant of the [[Kyle|original]] [[Merlina|heroes]] to set out and stop Exitilus from taking over the [[Land of Moneo|world]].

Along the way, the player will encounter three friends to partner with: The Warrior of Bora, the [[Hamilton|Digger]] from [[Town of Uora|Uora]], and their [[Helen|cousin]] in [[Town of Dora|Dora]]. All four must work together to gather the twenty-six [[Gems]] before Exitilus does and help the towns return to normal. Once the player has all twenty-six Gems and goes to the [[Town of Cora]] through [[Town of Yora|Yora]]'s [[Bottom of the Well|well]], the final battle with Exitilus will begin. Upon his defeat, the Gems lose their power, which was the only thing keeping the Guardians alive much longer than they were supposed to. Afterward, the player finds a [[Kyle and Merlina's Journal|journal]] in Fora's bookcase, leading into the events of [[Power Master 2: The Legend|the next story]].
