Defense

Defense (abbreviated as Def) is a stat that determines how much damage the character takes from the opponent's Offense; for magical attacks, Resistance is used instead. Like with other stats, it increases by Leveling Up or by using stat boosting skills or items, though it can be increased temporarily for the current battle turn by using the Defend command. Defense can also be increased by wearing armor and shields.
